Solivagus has Entered the Building.
Don't be afraid, far worse things have happened. But let it be known that my presence here shall be the penultimate of my artistic expression. I read in the introduction post here that there is no restriction on what we may post about and I plan on taking full advantage of that fact! Sometimes other sites can make me feel so stifled that it becomes a job in and of itself not to allow the pressure to feel like another job! And I didn't become a work from home writer so that I could feel like I have a job! No ma'am.
So! Who am I? My name is Drew De Jesus, I am a writer, actor, entertainer, dog lover, Aries, and I'm a hip old granny who can hip hop bebop and yo ho make a wicked cup of cocoa. I have my own blog on blogger here that I just started, I won't promote it until there's content. What I plan to provide there, and maybe even here, will be creative commons photographs that I'll take and that you'll be allowed to use on any post you'd like wherever.
I think providing free blogging content for creative individuals is a wonderful way to assist one another in socking it to the corporate hounds which sniff at our heels and try to make money off of us. Uh uh, pay us. That's how it works.
In any case, I'm 28 for now with a 29th birthday coming up in April, and I look forward to connecting with all of you. Well, most of you. Wink.
By the way, all my permalinks will be /solivagus#.html, where # represents the number post of that day.

ReplyDeleteLol, well speak now or forever hold your peace on what you don't want me to say here What are the language rules? Hehehe. And I'll probably end up doing a lot more of my drag work HERE than on bubblews, the posting restrictions there are frustrating and I can hyperlink videos here to the work I do. This is a much better format.
DeleteYou may receive some creative feedback from fellow members. And the moderators my tap you on the shoulder depending on how "natured" the language is. But Laurie (Admin) has generally described overall policy as a following of "common sense". I'm sure she would put a "rule" in place if members expressed any public outrage.

DeleteI'm inspired to write about it. It's question for discussion (and my view earnings) :) for the members and how they feel about creative expressionism on their sites. For example. The F-Bomb. If I simply spout the F-Bomb here in open comments I could offend people and duly so. But what if the F-Bomb is an expression of my creativity in a post? Or quoting from the source of my article? Most sites will slap the ban-hammer down. I think we should really ask ourselves how we want to raise our new baby here as she is in her infancy Note: I really massacred the grammar on this comment so I edited it. Grammar is Laurie's pet peeve.
DeleteWhat I know for certain I don't like is to see writers pleading with a website to forgive them, give them another chance, promising to never be so foolish as to say what they feel or link to something that will earn them more money. I don't like seeing that at all. It makes me a little sick inside. Of all God's creatures, the one that should NEVER have to apologize is a writer. Just my opinion.

ReplyDeleteHehe of course we will. I've just got to strike a balance. I am certain that bubblews will remain my personal 'blog' feel goodery while this site will be where I promote my uhm... watcha callit... things i do for myself. Like zazzle, my adsense blog, my youtube. etc.
