Benefits of olive oil are abundant. The olive tree was originated in Asia and was grown for over thousands of years in the Mediterranean countries where most of the oil is made.

The essentials in olive oil have 77 percent of monounsaturated fatty acids, 9 percent polyunsaturated fatty acids,14 percent saturated fatty acids and vitamin E .
 
Olive oil also contains vitamin E an antioxidant excellent for the skin and helps with anti-aging. Vitamin E helps fight against free radicals which can harm the skins cell membranes.

  1. Olive (and by extension, it's oil) is said to reduce fatigue as well. Though expensive, it is my favorite carrier oil when making herbal and fragrant oils. I also like Safflower oil. Saffron is said to bring joy.
