Memorable Music of the 1980's

What memories do you have of the 1980's? What music did you listen to back then? I remember a few hits from those days?

In the 1980's where I grew up in London, my memories consisted of me listening to songs from groups or idols like Wham, Duran Duran, Madonna, Spandau Ballet and Michael Jackson. What songs do you remember from the 1980's?

  2. I remember most the songs from Human League and Blondie at the beginning of the decade, and then as time went on I was into the SAW groups - Kylie, Jason and so on. I also was a fan of Bros at the time, and Wham as I got a bit older. It was an interesting decade.

    1. I remember Bros, Kylie and Jason too. I went to see Wham in London and that was a blast watching them singing all their great hits.

  3. I was (and still am!) a huge "metal head" in the 80s, so it was mostly Sabbath, Dio, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, etc. for me. Still, there were other things I liked, Soiuxee and the Banshees, Depeche Mode, Japan, Bowie, The Cure, and The Cult, for example. Oh dear...there's my "Gothic roots" showing again! :D

    1. Oh I loved Bowie and Depeche Mode and still do. I wasn't a huge "metal head" fan though.
