I've been looking at my dashboard for my old Blogger blog (Car 58, where are you?) and I see I have $27.00 in my Adsense account. Unfortunately I need $150 to be paid, so I have a way to go, obviously.
It looks like Bloggers with Adsense accounts get paid directly by Google - is that right?
Or does Preferred Writers Group AKA Eden Jaid receive the money directly and it is then distributed through PayPal etc.?
That seems like a fair bit of admin work, as opposed to the more transparent and hands-free Google Adsense method.
I'm not casting doubt or anything, just wondering at the mechanics of the thing. If I read the Adsense information correctly, no payments are made until 30 days after the month in which an individual account exceeds $150, which could be a fair while, depending on how many page views are earnt.
Anyway, I'm new here, and maybe I'm just totally wrong. Certainly wouldn't be the first time!
I like the environment and the concept and I think I'll enjoy my time here.

Hi Skyring, and welcome to PWG!
ReplyDeleteEden Jaid explains a good deal of this right here -> http://preferredwriters.blogspot.com/2014/02/pwg-offers-aggressive-new-earnings-model.html
Any further questions can be put forth directly In the "Help Desk" at the top of this page. Sadly, no one seems to have even used this feature yet, so you might be the first! :D
Yees, I rad that post, which is why I'm wondering about the precise mechanics of it all.
DeleteIt's pretty simple. Basically, a lot of us aren't getting paid on other sites. It's a fact. I created this site because
Delete1) I could not continue earning in good conscience when so many others are being ripped off. That's the long and short of it.
2) It will take a long while for us to see our first cent from this. I'm not going to mislead anyone. We have to break $100 overall to cash out.
3) When we reach $100, I'll cash us out, add up the views per member and send them on to Laurie to double check.
4) I will collect everyone's payment info. You can do that now, but there is really no point until we have cashed out.
Realistically speaking, the advertisers are our admins here. Laurie and I simply hand out the payments as deemed by them. We only get paid for our own page views like each of you. Many of you already know you were on a sinking ship before. This is the lifeboat. It's not as pretty and it's pretty cramped at the moment. But there's no hole in it. We are all in the same boat. This is not going to be a content farm. When we begin to average $300 - $500 each monthly we will stop inviting. Our overall pay-per-valid page view is $0.01. That's amazing considering we are 4 days old. Speaking of page view. I explained this on your post, Skyring. You're welcome.
Thanks! I'll go hunt up a few of your posts nd comment there.
DeleteDon't get me wrong, I think you're doing a fine job. If this can be a community of talented writers rather than a clickfarm, it will be fantastic.
It was just that I'm registered with Google Adsense with this Google account and I thought they might just look at my page views here and add them in.
But if the money goes to the blog owner and you do all the work of dividing it up, then that's fine. I trust you.
well thanks for bringing that up as an ad sense earner as well i wondered the same, so perhaps i'll be dropping by to the help desk when i have the time to ask a few of those very important questions. i just joined a few days ago, but my life had other ideas for me the past 2 days lol so i haven't been around as much as i liked, never the less, thanks for bringing this important question to light :)
ReplyDeleteWell, it will be a little while before anything happens, and I'm sure I'll get paid one way or another. Eden has given some information above, which is fine by me.
