Angela Lansbury's Two Disney Children's Movies

Angela Lansbury photo - public domain

Veteran movie actress Angela Lansbury, who has also been a star on television's "Murder She Wrote," has starred in not one but two Disney children's classics. Can you name them both? If not, read on!

In 1971, Lansbury starred in her first  Disney film as Miss Eglantine Price in "Bedknobs and Broomsticks." This film established the actress among the ranks of Disney power divas like  Julie Andrews. ("Bedknobs and Broomsticks" is often compared to Mary Poppins).

Two decades later in 1991, Lansbury landed her second Disney role, this time as the beloved Mrs. Potts from Disney's  classic animated movie, "Beauty and the Beast" and its sequels. This may be one of Lansbury's most loved roles and has secured her a place in the hearts of children and parents for decades to come.

If you have seen Angela Lansbury in one of these films or any of her other work, let us know what you saw and what you thought in the comments below!

A Look Back at the 2010 Official Twilight Convention with Peter Facinelli, Gil Birmingham, Charlie Bewley, Michael Welch, More

Nashville played host to assorted vampires, werewolves and mortals when the Official Twilight Convention came to Music City the last weekend in January 2010. Held during one of Nashville's rare snowstorms, the event was otherworldly in more ways than one! The Twilight event was so memorable, it was almost an eternal memory, so I decided to remember it again...

Official Twilight Convention Comes to Nashville

The Gaylord Opryland Resort may have been a vision of a Tennessee Christmas on the outside when the Official Twilight Convention came to Nashville in 2010, but inside it was Forks, Washington all the way as Twilight cast members including Peter Facinelli, Gil Birmingham, Charlie Bewley, Michael Welch, Bronson Pelletier and Kiowa Gordon wove their Twilight magic with the crowds. Kellan Lutz was supposed to be on hand but had to cancel a couple of weeks before the Nashville convention. (See Kellan Lutz cancels Nashville Twilight appearance.)

Gil Birmingham
After various introductions, slides, and videos (including the Hillywood Show spoof of New Moon), Gil Birmingham (Billy Black) got things rolling with in informative Question & Answer session where he talked about everything from his music, to his charities, to Taylor Lautner and the "Puppy Pack." (Learn more at Twilight Secrets: What Secrets Did Gil Birmingham Reveal at the Twilight Convention?)

Peter Facinelli
A couple of hours later it was Peter Facinelli's (Carlisle Cullen) turn to entertain the crowd with his many amusing anecdotes about his different movie and television roles as well as his thoughts on vampires, the Cullens, and Twilight. (For details about the Facinelli Question & Answer session see Twilight Secrets: What Secrets Did Peter Facinelli Reveal at the Twilight Convention?)

The Official Twilight Convention included a Volturi Ball, a breakfast with the stars, photos ops, music, and many other opportunities to get to know more about the cast and the movies. The convention is visiting several cities around the country but without Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart or Taylor Lautner.
