Did you know that your sleeping style says a lot about your personality?

The way on which we sleep tells a lot about the kind of personality we likely have. We might be positive thinkers, negative thinkers, a dare devil, over-protective of ourselves and much more. We tend to reveal more with our sleeping positions than we might with any other form of body languages.

Take for example the fallowing sleeping positions:

1. Those who sleep in their backs tend to be opening minded and face life head on without being afraid of change.
2. Those who sleep in their bellies tend to be less risk taking, rather hard headed and hard to persuade, or change their ways.
3. Sleeping on your right side is a sign of mental and life valance and will often indicate a very positive person with a very good control in their life.
4. Those who tend to favor their left side more for sleep will have less valance and control in their life and be more of a pessimistic person with closed and fixed opinions and views.
5. If you are one of those who sleep in a curl up position then that is an indication of self-protection, self-control and dependency.
There are plenty of other sleep positions and each one will have something to indicate about a person’s personality, character and mannerism. Some will find they belong to a specific type of personality while others with more than one sleeping position will find that they have multiple trades, or a mix of other personality trades.

Many Benefits Of Green Tea

Green tea has been popular in China and other Asian countries and the people of China have been drinking green tea for thousands of years for its medicinal purposes. This tea has been shown to provide many therapeutic benefits.
Unlike Black tea, which is fermented, green tea is steamed and dry roasted. The dried leaves are not allowed to ferment and research has discovered that process possibly is why green tea preserves the cancer preventative ingredient in the tea. The least amount of processing gives the tea its green color and gives it a flowery flavor along with maintaining the active ingredients that produce the green tea’s benefits. Green tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant and the leaves in green tea contain essential oils, polyphenols, caffeine, minerals, vitamins, and fluoride.

This growing research on green tea has shown that drinking the tea for a long period of time has a preventive effect on cancer in the digestive tract, stomach, and colon.
Caffeine is an active ingredient in green tea and although it has its many benefits it does have a high level of caffeine. Depending on the length of time it brews a 6 oz. cup can have as much as 10-50 mg of caffeine. This stimulant helps improve concentration and it also raises alertness. However it also increases the heart rate and can keep you up at night and can cause irritability and stomach upset.
Green tea’s medicinal benefits are numerous. Green tea can prevent tooth decay; the fluoride in the tea hardens the tooth enamel and makes them more resistant to decay. The tea helps with high blood pressure, and several forms of cancer. The polyphenols, a natural chemical in plants that prevent cellular damage, inhibit the growth of cancer cells and any development of tumors. This tea also kills bacteria, lowers Cholesterol, and helps combat the influenza virus.

During menopause drinking green tea will provide women with the extra nutrients that are needed drinking it on a daily basis.
Green tea is known to melt fat for dieters. Its cholesterol lowering effect has no calories and is considered as a supplement when drank daily.
The most common types of Green tea are:
Sencha. It is widely used in Japan and the most common tea available.
Bancha: Contains a low amount of caffeine and the tea is similar to Sencha but has a bitter taste...
In India: Green Darjeeling tea is gentle on the body and is grown in the Himalaya Mountains.
China: Gunpowder tea, the leaves are rolled tight and look like gunshot pellets. They unfurl when placed in water.
Jasmine Tea: a flowery tea which is actually made from jasmine flowers, some varieties are combinations of Black and green teas.
Green tea has a bitter flavor that coffee drinkers will enjoy and the caffeine content which is less than coffee will help keep the caffeine withdrawal headaches away.
Green tea has become so popular that many flavors have been added to the leaves to give it a fruity taste.

Water is Not Optional in Our Diets

We all know that water is important to our bodies.  The more water we drink, the healthier we can be.  We know that water is good for us because is it all natural and doesn't  put anything back into our bodies that we wish wasn't there, in fact, it helps clean out our bodies.
Water also helps to keep our bodies temperature steady and helps move oxygen around making sure to reach all the cells.  It also protects your joints and organs, this I never knew.  I have a few joint problems and am glad to know this.
With just the food we eat, our bodies receive about 20 percent of the water needed.  The rest is up to us to make sure we drink enough to keep our bodies in working order.  There is a simply way to make sure you are getting enough, simply take your weight (in pounds) and divide this number in half, giving you the approximate number of ounces you should drink daily.  Example:  If you weigh 200 lbs, you should be drinking 100 ounces of water a day.
Water is also good for your skin.  It will help to keep it from drying out.  I know how irritating dry skin can be.  It is flakey and itches all the time.
If you drink alot of caffeine then you need to double that amount with water to make sure your body doesn't get dehydrated.  This statement applies to me in  many ways,  I need to either cut back or drink more water.  Probably both.
I have plenty of reasons to start drinking more water, what about you?

Life changing options to prevent childhood obesity.

Contrary to popular believe childhood obesity is not attributed or caused by genetics, childhood obesity is a lifestyle disease, which means that in order to prevent or eliminate childhood obesity parents must make a life changing decision in order to benefit the health of their children. Here is what to consider:

1. Take control of your grocery shopping.
2. Buy healthier food and snacks for the consumption of your family
3. Limit the number of times your family, mainly your children snack between meals. Studies suggest that just one snack between meals is more than enough.
4. Be a role model for the children and have the entire family do the same. In other words, everyone should eat healthy foods.
5. Decrease the number of hours per day your child spends in front of a TV, computer, or video game screen.
6. Increase physical activity and play time outside.
7. Ensure the children have a good night sleep.
8. Make sure to explain to the children why they need to take on a healthier life style and why it will be good for them. Explain to them as well the many risks of obesity and how it can affect not just their childhood, but their entire life.
By taking in to consideration this simple life changing actions parents can prevent their children from becoming obese children and suffering from childhood obesity, which is turning to be an epidemic.

Benefits Of Cayenne

The red pepper or cayenne is a small perennial shrub that is a native of South America, or any other warm of the world. This plant has white flowers, then green, and then eventually red or yellow pods.

Cayenne can be taken in capsules, extract form, or powder by just sprinkling it over your food, just go with a light hand unless you can take the heat.

The benefits of taking cayenne are very effective for treating a cold, poor circulation, or a weak digestion. In some of the tropical climates cayenne when taken actually cools the body by promoting sweating.

The health benefits are many there are prescription creams and liniments that can treat be shingles, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and even sore muscles. The reason it is so effective is that there is an active ingredient called “capsaicin” which effectively blocks the transmission of the pain impulse in the body.

The burning sensation that you may feel after ingesting cayenne is normal and won’t hurt you, and in fact cayenne can help heal an ulcer rather than aggravate it.
