Tale of the Brave Martyr Bubbler

I was just about to log off and settle in for a good movie tonight when I noticed something interesting. But first a bit of back story is called for to color the drama at play.

I have seen review articles of other pay sites that were allowed by Bubblews so I posted a review article of our Preferred Writers Group giving my connections another earning opportunity. My review was innocent enough, considering we aren't in competition with anyone and our admins work for no pay except what we earn ourselves from page views on our own articles and posts like you.

Also, I have seen other high earning Bubblers posting links to their own blogs, (which is what we are) on their every post at Bubblews. And even defending their right to do so. They are allowed to carry on without so much as a raised eyebrow from the Bubble watchdogs. Now here is the cute portion of my tale.

My review of Preferred Writers Group was yanked from the Bubblews community, but not before generating a near firestorm of interest resulting in the numbers of members we have today. Bubblers began asking on my profile about our new little .blogspot and even a few resourceful bubblers among you found me on Facebook. This could be a great article if it ended here.

I was not sent any emails, any warnings or notifications of any sort of any rules I had violated. They didn't delete my account and I am able to continue to earn them an average of $7.00 per post in page views. I haven't been paid by Bubblews in 2 redeems now, so they are literally earning their 50% and mine as well. In good faith, I continue to post small offerings at Bubblews not for the money, but for the nearly 1400 connections I have made there. They are the most wonderful and engaging people I have met in a long while. I'd miss them, I guess. This would be a great article if it ended here.

A brave bubbler has re-posted my Preferred Writers Group review and entitled it, "Preferred Writter's View"! Laurie would have a literal fit at seeing my article published with the TITLE misspelled. She will have a fit knowing I've been counterfeited. But I don't think this is an act of plagiarism in the typical sense. The Bubbler is a connection of mine. Surely he would have to know the post would hit my notification log. Could this be a brave martyr bubbler picking up the fallen PWG banner to carry on the good message? Sadly, he has too few connections to get the word out as well as we could have. Still, plagiarism IS the best form of flattery.

But whether it is a brave bubbler martyr, or merely a dimwitted copy/paste bandit, he is treading dangerously. He is tempting the wrath of &Arvind for resurrecting a post he had marked for death; as well as our very own Ms. Laurie for copying the work of one of her writers. He will most likely never see the inside of PWG. Laurie takes her job seriously and plagiarism of any sort, even for a noble cause, is unacceptable.

The Newbie Experiments

Hi guys! This is my first post in Preferred Writers and I'm a bit excited! Thanks for accepting me by the way. I just made my first blog to experiment and find my way through this new endeavor :). It is a new challenge considering that I am not a pro in writing and that our site here is making its baby steps, yey! But congrats to us for being here. :) I'm looking forward to reading everyone's post given the time!

Anyway, since it is Valentine's Day, I thought of writing about my observations on this overrated occasion, hah! I'm not bitter. I guess I'm just not a big fan of celebrations of this sort. But here it is http://penchantpens.blogspot.com Tell me your thoughts and feel free to disagree with me. :)

Better yet, maybe you could share your great, romantic Valentine's day celebrations to help me change my mind about Hearts Day. Help!

Made Tasty Biscuits Now Drying Out Orange Peels

Hi All,
Sasha went off to do an oil change with the truck. We can not do it here because in the Long Term Visitor Area (LTVA) you can not do oil changes on vehicles. Who knows if people would spill oil on the ground? So he went off to an area that is not within the LTVA but is relatively close. And it will be on a parking lot instead of the dirt.

So while he is doing that, I am using the solar oven to dry orange and grapefruit peels. We use them in our shakes and I wanted to make sure it can be done with our solar oven and these peels. They have a high amount of Vitamin C, almost like taking a vitamin but without all the other garbage that they put into those things.

I checked on the peels about an hour ago, and they were doing good, so I will wait another hour and hopefully they will be done.

I have a bit to do today, including working on my website, which is not a blogging but an actual website using Dreamweaver software. I need to learn a few things, and then will get started on it.

Thanks and hopefully I will have pictures later of those orange and grapefruit peels.

Link Your Blogs Here

Note!!! After seeing the response here I quickly realized There is no way I can keep up.
So here's how we will do this:

1. List your correct blog address in the comments
2. Go down the list and comment on as many blog listings as you can. Leave your Blog Address with your comment!!! So the owner can see you and visit your blog.
3. Be a good connection!!! Check your blog daily for visits from your PWG community and go visit them.

Reciprocation is the key. It only takes a moment to drop by and leave a comment on a member's blog to show your support. Likewise, it only takes a moment to drop by leaving a "Thank You for stopping by!" Reply comment. The simple act of kindness goes a long ways!

Hello Everyone

I'm basically just starting in this site and had just been writing online for three months only.

Writing had been a passion of mine since I was a child. Unfortunately my passion was only confined in my daily journals and once in a while on school papers. I had been a school journalism adviser for 9 years  and those were wonderful years of teaching, honing and training young journalists to compete in the national level. I miss those days a lot.

I am not following any structure in writing. I write as to how I feel and not what others want me to. I am not claiming to be a professional writer, as I am way far behind of being as such. I am only a writer in my own accord.

Writing and cake making had been my therapy since I was diagnosed with pituitary tumour last 2011. But I had only found out a new avenue in writing online  just recently and to be honest, I'm loving it. I get to be paid doing what I love doing... writing.

Healthy Homemade Granola Bars

This recipe is delicious and healthy, no High Fructose Corn Syrup or any refined sugars.  I made them for my son's class for a snack and they were very well liked, in fact, one of the students said they were the best granola bars ever.
This is just the base recipe, you can add whatever nuts, fruits, wheat germ, flax seeds, or anything that may be good in them.

Heathly Granola Bars

4 cups Old Fashioned Oats
2 cups Chopped Nuts - whichever kind you prefer
1 1/3 cups Sucanat
1 cup Honey
1/2 cup Butter
4 tsp. Vanilla  (you may add different flavorings, Almond, maple etc.)
1 tsp Kosher Salt (Regular may work just as well, may cut back a tad bit)
1/2 cup Craisins, or whichever fruit you prefer.

Preheat oven to 350*  Mix the nuts and oatmeal together and spread onto a cookie sheet.
Toast in the oven until a golden brown.
Meanwhile, get your 9x9x13 pan ready by lining it with wax paper or foil.  Lightly spray the wax paper with cooking spray.
Keep checking on the oatmeal mixure to make sure it doesn't get to toasted. ( I like to forget this alot and have to start over).  After it is toasted, dump carefully into a large bowl and set aside.

In a saucepan combine Sucanat, honey, butter, vanilla, and kosher salt.  Bring barely to a boil and then remove from heat.

Pour over the oatmeal mixure and add your fruit.  Stir

well to make sure you coat everything evenly.

Pour the entire mixture into your prepare pan, cover

with more wax paper or foil and press firmly over the

entire pan to make sure your bars don't crumble

apart when they are cool.

Set aside and let completely cool (2-3 hours)  or put in the fridge for a quicker cooling time.
After they are completely cooled, turn out and cut into bars.

Wrap the bars if they are not going to be eaten right away.  Enjoy some delicious, healthy granola bars.

Corvette Museum Sinkhole Engulfs Classic Cars

In a way that would make the occupy movement proud, mother nature decided to reclaim a bit of the lost materials that were being hoarded by the National Corvette Museum.

Here is security camera footage of a sinkhole opening up right underneath a beautiful yellow corvette...
If you'd like to see another angle, the National Corvette Museum was kind enough to provide a secondary video....

Absolutely beautiful.  No I don't mean the incredibly wasteful American Sports Cars, I mean the view of watching them take a nose dive into Hades where they belong.

Beautiful.

Stealing from people that help you

I have to say I am a bit upset about everything I came across last night, well yesterday afternoon when I arrived at the school to help get the snackbar open. Someone (s) robbed us.

I do not think that did most of the damage, the most damage was done when it was reported to two school officials and the police were not called and the blame was turned around on us. Yes, you read that right, here we are working hard to do things for these students and staff and we work our butts off and this is how we are treated. I was livid and they knew it.

So I made the calls to the people I needed to let know what happened and also informed them off the reaction of the school reps.

A crime is a crime no matter where it is committed, if you take something that is not yours or if you enter a place you were not invited that is a CRIME.
They took all of the candy and the items from the cooler, why they tried to take the poweraid cooler I do not know, it cannot come out of the snackbar it will not fit out any doors. LOL some old booster tshirts and other items were also stolen.this was not as bad as when we walked in since we had to clean up some before we could get in there.
