Just call me Numbers

When I started out on Bubblews, I also started some spreadsheets in Numbers - that's the Apple spreadsheet product - and I've been reasonably religious in keeping them up to date.

I can make a steady $50 redemption each week, and my figures are just under $1.00 a post. I write more, I get paid more, I guess.

I also look at other writers.

I see a few making over ten dollars a day, and one making over twenty. There's probably a lot more, but I only keep figures for those who catch my eye. I'm somewhere in the middle.

Turning to my stats, I find that over my career I have roughly 15 000 views, 5 000 likes and 1 500 comments. That's reasonably standard. Each figure a third of the one above.

Given the amount of time I spend writing and connecting, I can see that there's a limit, and I'm not all that far from it. I can tweak my style a little, but realistically, Bubblews is not going to be a great earner for me.

However, I noticed a few regular posters whose views/likes ratio is more like ten than three. Athena and javaman74 stand out. Javaman74 averages 8 posts a day, $2.70 a post and $21.50 a day.

Not to be sneezed at. So where are all those pageviews coming from? They must be coming from outside the Bubblews community, and the way to get those is to load up on SEO. That's my educated guess.

SEO keywords, social media and similar. They look like good ways to leverage writing effort.

Any ideas?

Ole Blue Died

Yes my oven died today and services will be on Monday at 2 Pm please RSVP if you plan on attending the funeral for ole blue, she was a good and faithful oven and she has baked one to many cakes that were lopsided. but she was faithful better then any relationship.

Ole blue never talked back and never got in the way when we had company,  she just sat there quietly waiting to make us happy with what she bakes next.

Ole blue is now sitting there and she looks so alone and it is so sad since my cake that was in her oven  is still there cold and flat as ice.

Please no flowers, we ask that if you feel the need to make a donation to the oven club up above at.

Http:// ovenclubupandabove, no such dot com. (not a real website)

For all of us who had loyal and faithful ovens, please take a moment to bow your heads in remembrance of all that have left us  and remember all of the sweets they gave us (even when we were on that diet).

Ole Blue I will never forget you (tear drop) blowing my nose.

Wednesday
Dec 25Christmas DayThursday
Dec 31New Year's Eve
(normal hours)
Wednesday
I have to bookmark this, I really think banks should always be opened on Monday and Fridays, however knowing regulations a bank cannot stay closed for more then two consecutive days. SO Sunday and Monday I guess does good for them.
Every job I ever had I have always been off either  Monday and Friday and it would be just my luck I would need to do my banking on one of those days and the bank would be closed.
So do you normally work on these holidays? I have always worked on most of these holidays (actual holiday date) it is double time and there are not to many people that are out and about so why not work the day and get double time for it.
Our family does not celebrate holidays like this, every day is a holiday as long as you wake up alive and you have your family near you. Man Made Holidays are not real holidays to our family, being born and dying are the only to important holidays anyone has in their lifetime.
So make sure to mark this on your calender so you do not forget them.

Unfinished Unicorn Cake

For quite some time, since I started accepting orders from clients, I had been hoping for somebody to commission me to do a cake with unicorn on it. Last month I had a call and wanted me to do a unicorn cake. I readily accepted it as I was hoping to have a free reign to do a cake, based entirely on my design.

I wanted a whole unicorn made from  cake and that the unicorn will be sparkly silver and there will be lots of rosettes dotted all over the ground and some on the unicorn with vines crawling everywhere and that there will be some butterflies or fairies on some parts of the unicorn. Unfortunately they had their own design in mind and their budget was limited. So I wasn't left with much choice. I followed their design of rainbow cake from the inside and out.

The unicorn cake was commissioned by the mother of a very sweet and nice little girl called Lilly.   Though I was a bit worried because I haven't made an edible version of the unicorn and so it entered my mind to just buy a plastic one or a figurine. But Lilly was very insistent that she only want a unicorn made from chocolate. So I didn't have much choice.

It was a bit tricky to make the horse in between lifelike and fairytale like. Lilly wanted a rainbow coloured mane and tail which glitters. To achieve this effect, I lightly painted some parts of the mane and tail with edible gold paint and I lightly sprinkled edible glitters. The result was very nice. Unfortunately my photo doesn't do justice to how it is in reality.

I will be publishing a photo of the finished cake in my next article.  I am trying to learn how to watermark all my cake photos.

Benefits Of Cayenne

The red pepper or cayenne is a small perennial shrub that is a native of South America, or any other warm of the world. This plant has white flowers, then green, and then eventually red or yellow pods.

Cayenne can be taken in capsules, extract form, or powder by just sprinkling it over your food, just go with a light hand unless you can take the heat.

The benefits of taking cayenne are very effective for treating a cold, poor circulation, or a weak digestion. In some of the tropical climates cayenne when taken actually cools the body by promoting sweating.

The health benefits are many there are prescription creams and liniments that can treat be shingles, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and even sore muscles. The reason it is so effective is that there is an active ingredient called “capsaicin” which effectively blocks the transmission of the pain impulse in the body.

The burning sensation that you may feel after ingesting cayenne is normal and won’t hurt you, and in fact cayenne can help heal an ulcer rather than aggravate it.

Review of the Ural Sidecar Motorcycle by Laura-n-Sasha

Good Day All,
I wrote a review on Bubblews: Ural Sidecar Motorcycles Road Test where I wrote about the different models and have some great pictures to show. Sasha actually took it out on a road test with Ural Dave the representative of these fabulous vehicles.

We drove to San Diego, California from Yuma, Arizona, a three and a half one way trip. We went specifically to see this vehicle. In this review I talk about the different models and have pictures. We will be writing a more complete review, with videos and more pictures later on today. We were very excited about the bike and hope to purchase it sometime in the future. This picture shows the Gear-Up Model, which we would like to purchase in the future.

Writers Block? Contrariwise...

Much like Alice, I often believe at least 6 impossible things before breakfast. Of course, I might also have 10 or more seemingly brilliant ideas before lunch. Unfortunately, half are usually forgotten by dinner!

I may need someone to start following me around with a tape recorder or something. I'd do it myself, but I am quite sure I'd forget to press the record button. Yes, I said tape recorder, and no, I don't carry a cell phone, or an Ipod, Ipad, tablet, etc. Some people may be helped by such things, but I don't need more "frequencies" in my head!

The creative mind can be a deathtrap sometimes, or at least a rabbit snare that boxes you in. It is both a blessing and a curse to be caught in a constant state of never ending inspiration and creation. Often these things never even come into being, because that requires you to give it some tangible form while 5 more ideas are whirling through your head. Such "magic" can be lost if you stop long enough to make it "real"!
