Three Things I Intend To Do With My PWG Earnings

Coming up with a great new business model isn't very difficult especially when you know the direction everyone else is headed. Too often we find new business models are nothing more than the cookie cutter corporate model with some sprinkles on top to make it appear new and exciting. From the outside they seem to be the next big thing. But from within, you get exactly what you expected. One could say that PWG are among those like-minded individuals fed up with being fed the same old stale cookies. Our great ideas are based on what we would like to have in existing models.

Social Media
"I wish Zuck would let me decide for myself who I wish to be friends with."
The world is long overdue for a viable Facebook alternative with an intuitive self regulated review system for finding and making new friends. God forbid the users utilize Facebook to earn a few dollars without Zuck getting his cut. Barring obvious malware links, users should be able to make their earning avenues available in their posts and profiles.

Online Content
"I wish I could speak freely and write my world."
Let's face the facts, writers have it damn hard in this world. If they work for a news agency or publication they are little more than mouth pieces for corporate fat-cats unable string together a compelling sentence on their own. Their voices are highly regulated. And if they wish to keep earning that $0.0001 cents per view they will write what 'big-boy corp' tells them to write! We need an across the board sea-change in journalism in general. This work is NOT easy and writers deserve every $0.0001 we earn. For the integrity of the news and information being put out into the world, no one should be allowed to earn from another writer's work. Corporate ownership of a writer's thoughts is criminal. As a PWG writer, I will write whatever I damn well please and speak my mind openly as long as I cite my sources and backup my facts. If that offends your advertisers, they can sell their baby wipes somewhere else for a penny per 10,000 page views.

Multimedia
Writing is like prostitution. First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.” - Moliere. Some call me a whore and perhaps there is some truth to the accusation. But at Youtube, you can't find anything without wading through the raw sewage of spam, scams and poorly produced power-point presentations with garbage techno playing in the background. After an hour of searching Youtube for something remotely relevant I typically give up and go take a shower to wash the filth off my skin. Like writing, information presented in video format should be held to the same standards as everyone else that must ensure the integrity of their work.

So there you have it. Three things I intend to do with my earnings as a preferred writer at PWG. Feel free to take these ideas and make your own millions/billions. It may be a while before I get around to it anyway.

Vlog #3 : What Are We Doing Here? | Solivagus of PWG

Hey All - It's Solivagus (Drew De Jesus) here, your friendly admin floater who just goes around doing stuff.  I noticed this question posed on facebook "What is this group for" or some such.  Don't quote me.  Even though there are quotes.

In any case I took it upon my (pretty) self to put my (beautiful) face on a video and explain to you guys the difference between this place and TOS (the other site).  I don't wanna point fingers (bubblews) but sometimes it's hard to avoid naming (bubblews) names when it comes down it.

There's a difference between what we're doing here.  And I hope that this video explains it well.

Thank you for watching and continuing to be the most impressive upstart blog I've seen in a long time.  It's not long until we all stop posting introductory posts and start getting the hang of it all - providing a steady stream of content to the masses, who YEARN for knowledge!

I have also seen some worry about whether or not involvement here will result in your being abolished from the pay system of bubblews.  IF that were the case...

Let's say it was true... that they are going to black mark us all... worst case scenario is realized...

well...

Is that really the kind of organization you want to belong to?  Not I, said the fly to the spider.

Chew on it,
Drew De Jesus

How to NOT Get BANNED from PWG

You are allowed MANY freedoms on this site that you would not be afforded elsewhere. You are allowed to share your articles as much as you like on ANY social media site. You are even allowed to share links to your writing elsewhere with the entire PWG community! Not many sites allow that!

However, there are a couple of things that will NOT be allowed! These are not only things WE do not allow, they are things ADSENSE does not allow. Adsense, in case you are unaware, are the guys who pay us all here. Two things Adsense will not allow are the use of "click generating sites", and "view generating sites", or any other form of unnaturally generating clicks or views.

When you pay, or otherwise compensate a site, or an individual or group to click either articles on this site or ads on this site...THAT is FRAUD. It WILL result in your account being BANNED. It can also result in our SITE being banned, and none of us want that, now do we?

You may share your articles through any social media site you wish, but PLEASE use a little common sense in this regard, as well. Do not SPAM these sites with links either. That is simply bad form, and at worst, will result in the sites themselves not allowing links from our site. At best, people will begin to block YOU on these social networks, and you don't want that, do you?

You must use common sense in all these things. Please, follow these simple rules:

1. No use of click generating sites, or other forms of click fraud will be allowed.

2. No use of view generating sites, or other forms of view fraud will be allowed.

3. Do not spam links all over the internet...period. There is a difference between "sharing" and "spamming".

4. Affiliate links are NOT allowed. We cannot be responsible for where these might send someone. Links promoting your work are fine, but NO AFFILIATE LINKS.

Thank you for adhering to these simply common sense rules. Let's keep the "sense" in "Adsense", it is there for a reason. You owe it not only to yourself, but to the other writers in this community.

Anyone who does not understand Adsense rules can read further here: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/23921?hl=en

How much a writer will earn in PWG

I do not know how much a writer will earn here in PWG. I know there are some out there who are also like me with their uncertainties in mind. Like me, they just give it a shot and write.

I believe these individuals behind this blogs are all professionals and persons to trust. I have been to different website that published different contents and they pay me according to my written articles. However, there are also plenty of sites elsewhere that will promise you big bulks and will leave you nothing but unpaid works. Those that are earning yet a small time writers like me are behind their successful business are unpaid and “crying”.

Seriously, I hope that this is a start of a long time relationships between writers all over the globe.

It's Time For Me To Give PWG The Attention It Deserves

I have to admit I had a rather slow start here on PWG. Although the news that a new and fresh writing site is ready to take off the world by storm was truly exciting, I didn’t start my new adventure at full speed. I preferred to wait for a while and see the site grow, but I promised myself that I would write my first original PWG post by the end of this week, and here it is. I can finally say that from now on the Preferred Writers Group is officially part of my writing life.
I can’t deny the fact that I am in a position where I find it hard to make up my mind on where to post a new article, and from now PWG is going to make my choice even harder. It will enter a tough competition with several other sites, and especially with FullofKnowledge and Bubblews. Therefore, whenever a new idea crosses my mind and I start to develop it, I also have the difficult task of choosing where to publish the final product. It will always be hard to decide which site should have priority, but I’m glad there are several options to choose from.

I can see that PWG is growing really fast. It will soon have more than 100 members and the blog’s earnings are also going up fast. Therefore I am eager to be an active contributor to the site’s welfare  by writing, meeting new people and interacting with them. It is basically the beginning of a new and exciting journey into the wonderful realms of knowledge and communication, and why not, it may become my preferred writing and earning site as well.
At the end of my first original PWG post I want to say hello to all the members of this new and very promising site. I hope we’ll get to know each other better and share our thoughts and impressions as often as possible. Long live PWG!

Redemption

For the fool, the world is not enough. For the wise, only peace is priceless. I have written myself into a corner many times for my ideals, but I have brought down far greater than you with only a few words.

I am not burdened by such weaknesses as pride or dignity. I am a pauper yet I possess the envy of leaders for my ability to write the words they would speak as their own and inspire other great leaders into action.

Why would leaders require the words of writers to inspire the hearts and minds of people? Is it not the heart of the writer that felt those words? Is it not the mind of the writer that conveyed that passion? Perhaps in this manner, great leaders could only be described as the puppets of writers. Our words from your lips without the need for a string.

I am starved of hope with only my passion for words to sustain me. Like the taste of wine, words are only exquisite when you know the difference vintage and deception. A word bears wrath like no other when spoken passionately. A word carries its own power. Alive, a love and death. To misuse a word is the only blasphemy left to us. To speak a word in vain. To take a word and deceitfully manipulate its power... is unforgivable.

Redemption means the action of regaining or gaining possession of something in exchange for payment, or clearing a debt. Redemption also means the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil. "Redemption" is a word I never use when writing for someone else. The origin of the word "redemption" required blood as the only means of payment. In the literal context of the word, only blood can redeem a debt... can make one clean of sin, error or evil.

Having never met me, seen my face or heard my voice... would you believe me if I told you they all would recognize my words?

How To Turn Facebook into your Connections Log to Earn Views.

You will find a new "Notifications" link in your top navigation bar. You will need to be logged into your Facebook page for this to work. But you can now 'Connect' with and 'Follow' the posts of PWG members that have interacted with your work regardless of where you posted it. Ideally, you would want PWG to be your first Facebook Post. Why lose out on free earnings when you are allowed to directly link to your other pay-sites anyway? Follow these directions to set it up.

1. Share your PWG Post on your Facebook PWG Group Page.
2. Click on 'Notifications' in your PWG top toolbar.
3. Look for, "Shared your Post." Signifying they have passed your post along to earn you new readers rather than simply "liked" it on FB.
4. Also, check your PWG post to see if they commented directly on your post earning you a page view rather than simply "commenting" on FB.
5. Click on their name and share/comment on one of their posts.
6. Mouse over their name in Notifications and Click "Follow" to list them as a Great Connection.

You  can choose to turn off the Facebook notifications that are not your readers if you like to clean your list leaving only those connections that are earning you page views.
Just another way we here at PWG are helping you earn more!

Evidence That Vampires May Exist

I have been researching evidence of vampires. In my last article, I wrote how I found information of two people that were rumored to be vampires.

I was excited to find more of these stories that I now want to share.

About PWG

Preferred Writers Group is still a relatively new site and there are a lot of new members joining on a daily basis. I am sure many of you have a lot of questions you want answers to. I have compiled a few that I thought many members may benefit from. Here are some of the top questions related to PWG:

1) What is Preferred Writers Group?

2) How is it different from other writing sites?

3) Can I post an article that was previously published?

4) Can I post images?

5) How can I check my earnings?

6) When will I be paid?

7) How will I be paid?

8) Is the site moderated?

9) What should I avoid to save my account being suspended/banned?

10) Can I have multiple accounts?

The Last In Line

Someone on my post on "the other site" asked a great question, "How do you know you will get paid at PWG?" I think this is a very relevant question. And the perfect PWG member to answer this is me. Not because I'm an admin, but because I am the last in line to receive my earnings.

In a recent post I mentioned that there is always a discrepancy between the actual page views and the estimated page views we see on our posts page to the right of each of our posts.
- This is because bots, crawlers, and many other things are included in the Analytics report I use to tally up our views/earnings. I cut these out because they do not register as a valid page view and aren't specifically associate with any post. They are a random set of figures followed by an ambiguous http address.
- The comments are also removed from the list as they are, by default, already listed as a valid page view.

The final overall earnings/views must be as close as possible before I begin counting how much each post has earned. $100.00 = 10000 page views or roughly $0.01 per view. The best rate going at the moment, if you can get paid for it. Any deviation in the figure means the last one in line to get paid will lose earnings. That one will ALWAYS be me. $100.00 with 12000 valid page views means I have lost $2.00 for the month. But my writers have not.

This is how you know you will get paid. When a site promises big earnings it is always at the expense of the writers. It is a given that someone must take a hit so that the others will get paid fairly. It is no different here. The last in line takes the fall at PWG. The last in line here is me.

PWG Discussion: Journal Posts & Discussions vs. Articles

In visiting some of the other posts on PWG, I see quite a few that are journal posts: chatty, about me, what-I-did-today, what-I-am thinking kinds of posts, what my pet did, what my toaster did, how much PWG has changed since I last visited, etc. It looks like those posts are fine here, so this is not a complaint, but there is a difference between a journal post and an article, and if we are attracting readers by promoting our news, journalism, creative writing or other articles, they may quickly lose interest in Preferred Writers Group if the next post that they read is just journal-type chatter.

However, what if we prefaced any chatty posts with the word "Journal?" Like "Journal: What I Did Today," "Journal: My Thoughts" "Journal: What My Toaster Did" etc.? That way a visitor would know they were heading to a journal-type entry when they clicked on a post marked "Journal."

I would like to suggest the same for PWG Discussion posts--again, visitors are not going to be interested in our discussion posts. We, on the other hand, do want to read other people's thoughts, ideas and suggestions about this group. Maybe we could earmark our discussions to make it easy for our writers to find them, and easy for our visitors to avoid them. For instance, I used "PWG Discussion" on this post. We can also use the labels/tags "journal" and "discussion" to help earmark them.

We all want page views, but we absolutely WILL LOSE READERS if they come to read articles and hit upon group discussions and idle chatter or daily accounting posts from the other site some of you guys post about so much. If we just post for each other to read, that is a maximum 70-ish readers now--hardly enough to earn any income. We need to be attracting outside readers who will enjoy reading several articles while they are here.

Honestly, I don't want to promote my articles to my professional circles and then have them stumble on something stream-of-conscience here unless they know ahead of time they are about to read someone's journal entry. I know we are supposed to be "good connectors," but there are some posts I am just not going to share or feel obligated to comment on if they don't have a point worth passing along.

Maybe I am the only one who feels that way, which is fine. I am just testing the waters here anyway, and this may not be a good fit, but I thought I would toss my ideas out there and see what the rest of you think and at least give you something to chew on.

Collective Creative Consciousness, Anyone?

What does three hours of "trying" to sleep equal?

I'll tell you exactly what it equals :

2 hours of "tossing, and turning , and pondering"
1 song lyric
2 vocal melodies
1 Instrumental reworking
and at least...
4 articles
(5 counting this one)!

The level of creative juices flowing is off the scale. I blame PWG! What have you people done to me? It has to be a by product of the "Collective Creative Consciousness" of this site! My brain already rarely shuts up, but this is ridiculous! Can one die from having too many thoughts running through their head continuously, and almost simultaneously?

Unfortunately, how much of all this will make it to fruition, and how much will wind up in the "article notes" file on my desktop ( with the hundred or so already there) remains to be seen! Since I still can sleep, at least some of it will. Anyone else having this, um...problem?
More to come...

Good Day to Everyone

Have been informed by Jaid about this group. I said I will try to join and see how things will work. It is good to see there are lots of writers who are already contributing to this blog site and it seems like they are all enjoying the company. We are to be honest to one another. I guess we should admit that we really are looking for an Internet site anywhere on the globe that will really help us financially. Of course we are all fond of writing. We cannot guarantee a perfect piece of each content that we are going to write. What important is, just have fun and enjoy the ride.
Have a great day everyone.

How to See All Your PWG Posts In A Single Page

PWG is just a few days old but its already made some impressive strides and I am very excited to think of what the future holds for this wonderful site and its members. Today I was wondering about something and came up with a solution so thought I should share it with all so that the whole community benefits from it. I wanted to see all my posts at one place but was unable to do so and the only way that looked possible was to scroll through all posts to find that of mine.

I have three posts as of now before this one so that is possible but may not be much fun when I have a larger archive or articles. I was talking to Laurie Tysinger, one of the admin of the site and she suggested something which worked like a charm. She said use a common tag in all your posts which may be even the initials of your name. I did that when I click on that common tag on any of my posts I can see all my posts in a single page without having to scroll through all other posts.

I would like to suggest that all members so this so that they don't face this problem and as the site is still new and no member has a lot of articles you can do it easily now.

Infolinks with Google Adsense? Yes!

Did you know that infolinks can be used in addition to google adsense?  That's right!  Google has officially responded to a question posed by a social media expert that I follow on twitter and has said that the use of 3rd party ads on your site are perfectly alright provided they:

1. Do not attempt to associate themselves with google ads.
2. Are clearly of a different look and template than google ads.
3. Are not linked to 3rd party material deemed unsuitable by google ads.
4. If competitors ads are similar to google ads, take google ads as precedent and change the other.
5. They do not cause pop ups or install hardware.

There you have it.  Unfortunately that leaves a LOT of options out, but there is one which we can make use of on Blogger and I encourage Eden to do so in order to maximize our earnings.

The name of the company is Infolinks and can be found by clicking here.

As I continue to learn more about maximizing our earnings on this blog I will keep us updated.

Thanks for all the contributions so far - we need to start gearing out efforts towards people outside of the PWG as well.  I think the recipes are a great option and do perfectly well on pinterest.

Keep it up fellas.

Preferred Writers Group Is Here To Rule The Online Writing World

I have been writing online for over 4 years now and have written for a number of revenue sharing sites in this period. I have seen sites rising and falling and I have also seen sites which pay their writers in the beginning but don't do so later. PWG is less than a week old but has already made an impressive start. I can say from my experience that it has a great potential to become the next big thing in the online writing world. It is important that all writers work together as a team and contribute to the growth of the site. This will be beneficial for all of us in the future and we can have a genuine income source which will help us.

This is only my 2nd post here but I will try and contribute each day and pledge that everyone else do the same. It doesn't take long to write 150 words (the minimum word count required at PWG for a post) and posting daily will get you as well as the site a steady flow of views and earnings. Let’s rock!

Updates

Updates: On this page you will find a listing of the the updates made to our site. We will be making changes on the fly rather than interrupting your workflow. Please feel free to give feedback/suggestions on future changes/improvements you would like to see added.

2/12/2014: Snippet View Added to Main Page
We gained a new view to the slightly cluttered main page to give it a cleaner presence and feature more of your posts at a glance. Your posts themselves were not affected by this cosmetic update. You can still link to your posts pages from the main page.

Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself!

Solivagus has Entered the Building.

Don't be afraid, far worse things have happened.  But let it be known that my presence here shall be the penultimate of my artistic expression.  I read in the introduction post here that there is no restriction on what we may post about and I plan on taking full advantage of that fact!  Sometimes other sites can make me feel so stifled that it becomes a job in and of itself not to allow the pressure to feel like another job!  And I didn't become a work from home writer so that I could feel like I have a job!  No ma'am.

So!  Who am I?  My name is Drew De Jesus, I am a writer, actor, entertainer, dog lover, Aries, and I'm a hip old granny who can hip hop bebop and yo ho make a wicked cup of cocoa.  I have my own blog on blogger here that I just started, I won't promote it until there's content.  What I plan to provide there, and maybe even here, will be creative commons photographs that I'll take and that you'll be allowed to use on any post you'd like wherever.

I think providing free blogging content for creative individuals is a wonderful way to assist one another in socking it to the corporate hounds which sniff at our heels and try to make money off of us.  Uh uh, pay us.  That's how it works.

In any case, I'm 28 for now with a 29th birthday coming up in April, and I look forward to connecting with all of you.  Well, most of you.  Wink.

By the way, all my permalinks will be /solivagus#.html, where # represents the number post of that day.

For example, this post will be preferredwriters.blogspot.com/2014/02/solivagus1.html - this way it will be easy for people to sort through my posts in order.

Drew De Jesus

A Personal Welcome to PWG

I realize the "How It Works" page is a bit formal and reads more like an sales pitch. But that is typical for what people in this niche would expect from an Online Content site. They want to know all the details. What I wanted to now is extend a personal welcome to each of you on this the end of our very first day as a social network community. I also wanted to clarify what we are and what we are not.

We are a community of writers of online content, and many of us already know each other from other sites. We also have more than our fair share in common with this often difficult effort. We write to make ends meet. We write because, for whatever reason, this is our only means of  interacting with other human beings. We write because we have to get things out that need to be said. And we write because we are called to do so.

Unfortunately, the business of our niche has not fared well for us writers. So this is where we address what we here at PWG are not. We are not a site which earns money from the work of writers. No one earns here without writing themselves. This is why page views for our own work is the only way to earn here. This is a universal rule here. I will only earn what I earn in page views for my own posts like everyone else here. Additional earnings generated will be rolled over to reduce the time it takes us to receive payment, and to ensure everyone receives their earnings.

I have been described as being the highest earning writer on other sites, but I am a novice among my peers. As I've seen some very talented and well-known writers join us, I feel certain I will not be the highest paid writer here. We have some very unique advantages here that no other site has.

(1) Our Ad Sponsor owns & hosts our site and we pay nothing for the space.
(2) We do not have a CEO or a President that we must pay tribute financially.
(3) Officially, we are a "blog" and not bound by typical "Online Content" restrictions. Our posts can earn revenue when we simply login to say Good Morning!
(4) Unofficially, we are the best online resource anywhere in the world for bringing massive traffic to needy sites. In this respect we are now a "Union of Online Writers" and a home for others like us.
(5) We only earn from our own content, so no one here is fearful of losing earning writers to competitive sites. We can network and actively link to our other pay sites here so that everyone knows where the best opportunities are.

What these very important points show us is that we have already shrugged off much of the financial liability typically associated with this niche which brings more funds back to us. We have great earning potential here. And the more their are of us, the more we all prosper.

I don't require a patent for this new "aggressive" platform. In fact, I would welcome any site employing our services to do this legitimately. They damn well should have been doing it all along in my opinion.

So there you have it. Welcome to PWG. Let's do this.
