Please trash my previous statement- we all are same

I once said that most tourists from this country do nothing but waste their time while on sight seeing trips to other countries. It was in the reference to my 5 days' holiday visit to Bali. At that time I though tourists from other countries especially from Europe and America try to learn about culture, way of life, food and lifestyle when they visit other countries.

I was wrong, I assure you my previous statement was not absolutely true. I see a heck of lot of Europeans and Americans who have spent their whole trip beach hopping. I think I made my statement a bit generalized when I said they spent all their time in all good things.

Most travelers this summer I see here are supermarket shopping, getting drunk in backpacker bars, then recovering on the beach or tanning in the park. Maybe I should travel a bit more and learn not to make stupid statements. Absorbing the cultural aspect was not to be seen anywhere.

PS- I'm not responsible if someone feels offended reading my post :)

Great Free Music From TV

If you tend to watch a lot of TV, especially network shows, and you love the music you hear, you might love today's NoiseTrade free download. The Secret Road "As Heard On TV - Volume II" features quite a few songs you might have heard. It's a wonderful sampler from shows such as:

  • Nashville
  • Ghost Whisperer
  • The Neighbors
  • Pretty Little Liars
  • The Middle
While I'd love to have seen a few songs from The Originals or Lost Girl, I have to admit, I like the variety of here. There are 13 songs and the entire album is free. All you have to do is visit NoiseTrade from the link above and click Download Music at the top of the album image. You'll need to enter your email address and zip code. Visit your email for the download link.

NoiseTrade doesn't use your email address to spam you. You may receive promotional emails from the artists on the album and a few emails a week about the latest free downloads, but you can unsubscribe at any time.

Also, you can "tip" the artists if you want, but it's not required. However, if you really like the album, a little goes a long way. Plus, for this particular album, all tips go to the Musicians On Call charity.

Introduction and Questions

First let me say that I'm thrilled to be a part of a new writing community where we get paid to post about what we like and socialize. It's nice after a long day of writing for others to come somewhere and just have fun.

I wanted to introduce myself to the community. I'm a major tech geek and I've been a freelance writer for eight years now. Though I keep putting it off, I will have several blogs/sites up and running in just a few months. I'm extremely excited to finally have the time to start working on my own personal projects while advancing my freelancing career.

Just so you know what to expect from me, most of my posts will likely deal with the latest tech news, music, writing tips and useful sites that I find. Some weeks, I may not be able to socialize much at all due to other projects, but I'll do my best to be here several times a week for a new post and to check out what everyone else is doing.

If you're interested in where I got my online writing start, check out my (mainly tech) pieces on Yahoo Contributor Network.

Now I have a few questions for everyone.
1. What are your interests?
2. Are there any tech subjects or news you'd like me to cover?

Feel free to comment. I'll check back often to see what everyone has to say.

Morning Reminder: "Do not boast on yourself"

Great morning to everyone. Valentines day has ended but the season of love would not. I am grateful for today for another life that GOD has given me. I just started this day with a bread "pandesal" with peanut  butter as breakfast. I also did some house chores to start the day with productivity.

I am glad to be part of this group and i am still unfamiliar on how this works. What i know is this a community of give and take.

I just met a word today about humility and being grateful. According to 1 Corinthians 1:30, "those who boast boast in the LORD". I am just compelled with this verse because these season of my life i always boast on my works, achievements, etc. I realized that life is not centered on me. The key to enjoy life is to glorify GOD. In that you will not feel insecurity and sadness when someone does not appreciate your works.

Glad to start the day with a reminder. Do not boast on yourself

Infolinks with Google Adsense? Yes!

Did you know that infolinks can be used in addition to google adsense?  That's right!  Google has officially responded to a question posed by a social media expert that I follow on twitter and has said that the use of 3rd party ads on your site are perfectly alright provided they:

1. Do not attempt to associate themselves with google ads.
2. Are clearly of a different look and template than google ads.
3. Are not linked to 3rd party material deemed unsuitable by google ads.
4. If competitors ads are similar to google ads, take google ads as precedent and change the other.
5. They do not cause pop ups or install hardware.

There you have it.  Unfortunately that leaves a LOT of options out, but there is one which we can make use of on Blogger and I encourage Eden to do so in order to maximize our earnings.

The name of the company is Infolinks and can be found by clicking here.

As I continue to learn more about maximizing our earnings on this blog I will keep us updated.

Thanks for all the contributions so far - we need to start gearing out efforts towards people outside of the PWG as well.  I think the recipes are a great option and do perfectly well on pinterest.

Keep it up fellas.

You would get the problem even more complicated if you continuously keep thinking about it. The first thing you can do is try and calm yourself down which can often help the mind come up with new ideas to write about. You can even do some meditation or just sit down calmly to do so.

You can even go out for a walk or spend some time with your loved ones as it will help to relax your mind. Pumpkin Cupcakes

So after the holidays I had a bunch of canned pumpkin left over.  I have been finding new ways to use it up. Why I had so much in the first place is a mystery to me, maybe I was supposed to make way more pies or something. Maybe my husband thought we were feeding an army instead of just the family.
I found a delicious recipe and used up some extra pumpkin. Here is the recipe:
Pumpkin Cupcakes
I only use whole wheat and natural cane sugar etc in my baking so these are actually delicious and healthy.
Now that you have the recipe you have no excuse to not make a batch and share them with everyone you know.  I am sure that you probably have some canned pumpkin hiding in your cupboards as well.

If you are a pumpkin fan, you will not be disappointed.  Enjoy, they really are tasty.

Hello everybody... Let me welcome you all here. Apart from my interests in the Bible I was also interested in the ancient Hindu astrology as I am from India. I just wrote a post on Bubblews where I show the importance of the first house in a horoscope. The first house is most important because if it is weak then the whole horoscope of the native becomes weak. He may have other combinations for a good life but if the first house is weak, then the results will get greatly modified. Read all about it here on my post Bubblews...
